Concept of Bio-fuel Park:

Today’s world is heavily dependent for energy on fuels, which are almost entirely derived from fossil fuels. For almost last three decades, since the increase in the petroleum products prices, various other alternatives have been explored with the goal of replacing conventional petroleum supplies at least partially.  This need has been supplemented by the concern for the increasing pollution owing to the fossil fuel combustion.  Bio-fuel is a renewable source of combustible material whose energy content can be beneficially utilized for transportation purposes.  Bio-fuel can be produced either from renewable vegetable oils both edible and non-edible. It is a simple, biodegradable, nontoxic fuel and can be used in compression-ignition engines with little or no modifications. Bio-fuel addition to petroleum products allows complete fuel burn thereby reducing air pollution unlike, gasoline and conventional diesel.

Based on the above benefits of renewable energy a Bio-fuel Park is proposed to be established in the near future in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. The proposed Bio-fuel park will have the following components:

  1. Interpretation Center
  2. Demonstration Plot
  3. Tissue Culture lab
  4. Bio-fuel plant
  5. Biodiversity Park
