Other Activities
The MPBTC undertakes a range of activities from time to time to create awareness about the recent trends in the field of Biotechnology and the initiatives taken by Council to promote Biotechnology sector in the State.
The activities undertaken by the Council are:
- Publications – A quarterly newsletter entitled “Jaiv Praudyogiki” and Brochures providing information on activities of the Council.
- Organizing Seminars and Symposia

A Seminar on “Recent developments and opportunities in Biotechnology Education and Research” was organized on 5th February, 2011 by Council along with National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) New Delhi to create awareness about National and International Trends in Biotechnology Education & Research.
- A Symposium cum Workshop on "New Frontiers in Translational Biotechnology" was organised from September 24th-26th, 2013 by the Council in association with Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre, Bhopal wherein world fame scientists and eminent personalities deliverd their talks and more than 200 students of the state got oppertunity interacting with technical experts from the Industry.
- Participation at National and International Forums - The council showcases its activities by participating in various seminars, conferences, exhibitions and melas etc. organized at State and National level
- Radio Talks: A weekly radio talk “Chalti Rahe Zindagi” is aired on high frequency relay stations Vividh Bharti from time to time to disseminate information on the scope, importance, current trends and future prospects in Biotechnology education, research and Industry.
- Intercollegiate Competitive Event on Biotechnology: The M.P. Biotechnology Council has been organizing Intercollegiate Competitive Events on Biotechnology at different Colleges in the various cities of the State. The focus of the event is to generate interest in the subject among the students by providing a platform where students can compete and assimilate knowledge. The competitive events include Quiz, Poster Presentation, Model making, Essay writing and Debate.
